I got into photography about a decade ago. My dear friend, and former DA, Phil Dunleavy used to bring cameras to the office, send them home with me, and instruct me to "try them out". From the second my hands touched the old 1960's-ish Nikon I was hooked. Addicted, really. My first "real" camera was a Nikon N65...dreamy and so fun. I am mostly self taught and find a ton of joy in studying and growing my knowledge. It's only been the last 1 1/2 years I've decided to get really serious about my "hobby". In that time I've taken several classes to help improve my technique, but I still feel like I could study the rest of my life and never reach the point that I feel like I've "arrived". For me, that's one of the extraordinary beauties of photography, there will never be an end to the vast possibilities of knowledge.
